Slight folding to the top corner of the front cover (not affecting any leafs), Else a Fine, unmarked trade paperback, quarto (11”), 96 pp.; over 150 plates, photographs, all printed on glossy cream-toned paper with printing by The White Dove Press, Southend on Sea.

This publication was produced in conjunction with the Exhibition at Glynn Vivian Art Gallery, with subsequent venues through the following year. The section of photographs shows the artist at work. Included is a Glossary of Technical Terms and a list of Materials and Equipment that See-Paynton used in his work; a list of Book Illustrations; a Biographical Note, and a Catalogue of Editioned Wood Engravings. Carrying on into the 21st century, these wood engravings continue an art form that flourished in the 1920s and 30s in the work of private presses such as Golden Cockerel and Gregynog. (p. 11) Uncommon, especially this side of the Atlantic.
