A short essay by Brininstool, author inter alia of 'A Trooper with Custer', The Bozeman Trail', and 'Fighting Red Cloud's Warriors', primarily composed of the words of Sitting Bull, concluding with the declaration: "I tell you, God Almighty never made me an agency Indian, and I never will be on!". Among other insights, Brininstool notes that Sitting Bull "retained much friendship for the Canadians, to which territory he hastily decamped after the Custer fight of June 25, 1876, and there he remained for several years. . ." From the author's collection are six photos of Sitting Bull including his home, etc. and a panoramic view stretching the full width of the sheet of Sitting Bull addressing a council at Fort Yates.
Condition: two miniscule holes from wear, one along a fold, neither affecting any text or image. Uncommon; Rare signed.
