This booklet (undated) contains the recommendations of the Indian Citizenship Committee of this Branch of the Canadian Civil Liberties Association to The Honourable W. E. Harris, Minister of Citizenship and Immigration following that withdrawal. The preliminary material includes a summary of the history of the Act, canvasses the experience in other jurisdictions, reviews the role of the United Nations, and raises various facets of the underlying attitude towards the original inhabitants of Canada. It concludes with 91 recommendations together with an Appendix listing "(s)ome additional recommendations made by the Special Joint Committee on the Indian Act and either ignored or inadequately applied in Bill 267".
