Toronto: The Church of England in Canada, 19 c.m.. Stapled Card Covers. Very Good n.d. (but circa 1930-1940?) 24 pp.; frontis port. and 6 illustrations in text; short bibliography. This booklet by the then Bishop of Athabasca for the 'Church of England in Canada' documents the service in the North by Bishop William Carpenter Bompas in the late 19th Century - (1834-1906). Bompas was consecrated the First Bishop of Athabasca in 1874, of Mackenzie River in 1884, and of the Yukon in 1891. This does not appear to be one of the "series pamphlets published beginning in 1925" on the "history of missions in the Athabasca, Peace, and Mackenzie River valleys" referenced in Peele (3rd) #5418, as it varies in size and pagination, and does not include the referenced notation "Popular Information Series". There is light staining to 2 leaves, and to the bottom margin of 4 others; else a clean copy in tight, stapled binding. Further material on the author, (d. 1966), can be accessed in 'Canadian Who's Who, 1964-1966. Uncommon.
